Short term Lettings of apartments
The board was alerted about 2 apartments being rented out on a short-term basis, this was evidenced through booking.com. This practice ceased immediately once the board and Keppie Massie intervened.
The Lease clearly states that you are not to use the Premises for any purpose other than a private residence and not to carry on any business from the Premises.
Paragraph 1 of Part 3 of the Eighth Schedule of the Lease provides:
“Not to use or suffer to be used the Demised Premises for any purpose whatsoever other than as a private residence for occupation by a single family and in particular not to carry on or permit or suffer to be carried on in or from the Demised Premises any trade business of profession.”
Paragraph 2 of the Eighth Schedule of the Lease as follows:
“Not at any time during the said term separately to assign transfer underlet or part with the possession or occupation of any part or parts of the Demised Premises but only to assign transfer underlet or part with the possession thereof as a whole.
