RECYCLING BINS.
Dear Residents.
Our recycling bins situated outside each Quay in the undercroft are sometimes not being used as they should.
Some residents are continually disposing of items that should go into the general waste bins or taken to the local refuse centre in Otterspool.
Waste that can go in the recycling bins:
Newspapers. Cardboard. Paperboard. Aluminium Cans. Steel Cans. Plastic Bottles. Glass Containers.
If you are unsure please put it in the general waste bins.
Some plastic bags have recyclable waste contained inside them but the plastic bag is not recyclable. Please empty the contents of the bag into the recycle bin and put the plastic bag into the general waster bins.
The bin men refuse to empty the bins if there are items in them that are not recyclable. This is an extra cost which we all have to bear through our service
charge.
These bins are emptied every 2 weeks and have to serve all apartments. Please put your recyclable items in singularly and flatten boxes.
Some residents seem to think that if they leave items outside of the bins someone might make use of them. This is causing a real nuisance and is costly to dispose
of. Please get rid of household items responsibly. Otterspool recycling centre is in Jerricho Lane, L17 5AR. 0151 255 1444
